Category Import

You can import categories using two methods:

1. File Import
2. Channel Import

1. File Import (Categories)

Steps:

1. Click on Import.

1. Click on Browse and upload the category file.

1. Select the Entity Type:
   • Categories
   • Categories with Attributes

1. Select the Template.

1. Toggle options:
   • Create New Categories → Enable to create new categories
   • Skip Errors → Enable to ignore errors during import, disable to review errors

1. Enter Notification Email.

1. Click on Start Import.

2. Channel Import (Categories)

Channel Import allows you to fetch categories directly from external platforms such as Shopify.

Steps:

1. Click on Channel Import.

1. Select the Channel (e.g., Shopify).

Filter Options

You can control which categories are imported using the following filters:

• All Categories
  Imports all available categories from the channel
• Filter by SKU(s)
  Import categories associated with specific SKUs
• Filter by Create Date Range
  Import categories created within a specific time period
• Filter by Update Date Range
  Import categories updated within a specific time period
• Filter by Entity ID(s)
  Import categories using specific entity identifiers

1. Select the appropriate Filter Type based on your requirement.
2. Choose Entity Type as Categories.
3. Select the Template.
4. Choose the Import Type (e.g., Full Import or others as required).

Fetch Configurations

Configure what data you want to import:

• Fetch Images – Import category images
• Fetch Metafields – Import custom attributes
• Fetch Variants – Import related variant data
• Flattening – Simplify hierarchical data
• Fetch Categories – Import category structures
• Fetch Inventory – Import stock-related data
• Fetch Prices – Import pricing data
• Create New Category – Create categories if they do not exist

Final Steps:

1. Enter the Notification Email.

1. Click on Start Channel Import.
